Dacia Duster Tyre Pressure Warning Light
The Dacia Duster tyre pressure monitoring system notifies the driver if one or more tyres loses pressure. Your Dacia Duster will have one of a possible two tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) types:
TPMS type A can be determined by the presence of a sticker located on the inside of the driver door. This is called an ‘indirect’ tyre pressure monitoring system that uses the anti-lock braking system (ABS) to measure wheel speed that in turn, determines a loss of pressure.
TPMS type B can be determined by a sticker located within the vehicle (not inside the driver door). This type of TPMS system is ‘direct’ and uses dedicated pressure sensor located inside each of the vehicle’s tyres.
For the most accurate readings, always check pressures when the tyres are cold. If pressures cannot be checked when cold, the recommended pressures should be increased by 0.2 to 0.3 bar (3 PSI).

- Perform a TPMS reset after reinflation – after each adjustment of tyre pressures, the system must be reset
- The TPMS must be reset after the standard pressure have been altered due to load carrying and other usage conditions such as motorway driving.
- Perform a TPMS reset after tyre / wheel change
- After using the tyre inflation kit
- After changing wheel around
- Ensure to use the correct recommended pressures
- Pressures should be checked when tyres are cold
The following may cause the warning light to come on:
- Significant weight load in vehicle or to one side
- Sporty driving with harsh acceleration
- Driving on slippery surfaces
- Use of snow chains
- Using tyres that are not approved by Dacia
