In general, red warning lights represent an urgent problem and something that needs looking at right away. Red warning lights may indicate possible damage to your vehicle, or danger to vehicle occupants. Amber or yellow lights represent a non-urgent fault, a maintenance issue or a vehicle system that has been manually deactivated when otherwise it’s on by default.
