  1. Hi! Need your advice on why in my Honda Jazz when driving & I reach 50km/h I get a beep with a symbol that lights up that is box like in shape with a number 1 inside this box just for a few seconds then disappears , this has only just started. I can’t find this symbol in our manual. Appreciate your advice. Thanking you. Sylvia

    1. Hi Sylvia I believe your settings were set at some point to warn you if you were exceeding 50MPH/km. Mine does this for 30MPH and 50MPH and were set by my Partner when the Car was new. There was a choice as to what Speed you set it just to avoid Speeding. Hope I’m right and that I’m correct.

  2. My car was serviced in April 2021after 944 miles, the service light is back on again on 17th October after 1613 miles, it’s now telling me it’s overdue it’s service, I’m taking it to the dealer tomorrow to sort it out but I am disappointed with this happening, I’m disabled and I love the car but I don’t think I will be getting another when my contract ends.

  3. My Honda jAzz has central warning !might and will not start. The Symbol shown in th centre of the panel is PGM.51

  4. Hi – My Honda Jazz (Automatic) suddenly showed 6 warning lights and they remain on. They are Lane Departure, Forward Collision, Electric Power Steering, Vehicle Stability, Malfunction Indicator and Low Tyre Pressure. Any ideas please?

    1. Hi Enid,
The best thing to do initially is to use a scan tool which you (or a garage) hook up to scan for fault codes. The fault codes will point you in the right direction to where the problem is. Other than that, the illumination of these warning lights can be triggered by faulty wheel speed sensors or steering wheel angle sensors. These sensors are prone to damage or wear and can need replacing from time-to-time.

  5. Can you tell me what the green and blue light surrounding the speedometer mean. It goes green when driving and blue when stopped. No sign of what they are in handbook (2018 Jazz)

    1. Mine too has come on today with a short warning sound. Looking at the display, it obviously shows a key but indicates three bars. Because of that I am assuming that it is a warning to replace the batteries before I get locked out. I do recall replacing them a few years ago and it was a simple fix.

    1. Hi Mukul,
Can you describe the symbol a little more, is it the front, rear or side of a car symbol? Is it on all the time? Are there any other shapes or symbols along with the car symbol?

  6. I have a new Honda Jazz Hybrid – recently getting a picture of a petrol pump in white with a brown line across the top – stays on all the time; I have only just refuelled and the gauge shows full.
Should I be concerned – there is no equivalent picture in the manual

    1. Hi Elizabeth,
I’m not aware of this symbol either. The low fuel warning light is usually yellow and flashes if there’s a problem. If the symbol you’re referring to isn’t the same yellow symbol that comes on when your fuel is low, then it’s nothing to worry about. When there’s a problem with your vehicle, symbols are either yellow, or for more urgent problems, in red. White symbols are used for informational purposes.

    2. I have exactly the same symbol under the same circumstances in my Jazz Hybrid. Did you ever find out what it means and how to get rid of it. It’s very annoying!

  7. Hi! When I lock my Honda Jazz with the remote key two lights start flashing red. One is the regular security system light near the speedometer. The other is between the button that controls the radio, cd, erc and the cd slot. I can’t find any reference to this second light in my very long and comprehensive manual. Is it normal? Is it an independent security device for the audio system? Thanks for your help.

  8. Today when we stared the car suddenly an amber light came on . It is rectangular with 3 lines in the middle and coning off the right hand side is a long narrow rectangle. I cannot find this sign anywhere.

    1. My car displayed same warning symbol yesterday and really confused me. The long rectangle seemed to represent a battery but I couldn’t identify the rectangle with the three bars. It suddenly dawned on me that it represented my key fob warning me that the battery needs changing. When I used my spare key fob in stead the warning symbol disappeared.
Very poor of Honda not to include this symbol in their manual.
