- For manual transmission vehicles, the indicator shows up only when the gear shifts or the shift lever is in R position.
- For the manual mode of automatic transmission vehicles or manual transmission vehicles, the optimal shift point is indicated by an arrow according to vehicle speed and rpm condition.
SsangYong Tivoli fuel gauge
This gauge displays the current level of fuel remaining in the fuel tank. The fuel gauge may move slightly during braking, accelerating or turning. The arrow next to the fuel tank symbol indicates which side the fuel filler cap is located. Avoid driving the vehicle when the fuel level is very low. due to incomplete combustion, the catalytic converter could be damaged.

If the light does not come on or does not go out or if it flashes, it means the air bag system has malfunctioned. This is usually due to a sensor or cabling / connection issue.
SsangYong Tivoli brake warning light
The BRAKE warning light comes on either when the parking brake has been applied or the brake fluid level is lower than the safe specified level. Driving with the parking brake applied can significantly wear and overheat the brakes. In this instance, the warning light and audible alarm sounds. Stop and immediately release the parking brake. If the parking brake is fully released and the light remains on, check brake fluid levels as soon as possible. Brakes may not work efficiently.

- The TPMS system (including sensor) has a malfunction. The warning light flashes for approximately 70 seconds then stays on.
- Tyre pressure abnormality. This could be due to under-inflated, over-inflated or tyre burst. In this instance, the warning light stays on. Stop as soon as possible and check pressure or change wheel. If tyre pressure are altered or wheel is changed, pressure are automatically adjusted after continuous driving (over 20 km/h) for around 5 minutes.
SsangYong Tivoli low fuel level warning light
The illumination of the low fuel warning light varies based on driving conditions. If this warning light comes on while driving, immediately refuel the tank.
SsangYong Tivoli ABS warning light
The ABS (anti-lock braking system) warning light illuminates on the dashboard when the ignition is set to ON and should go out after a few seconds. ABS system performs self diagnosis by transferring hydraulic pressure to the brake units for few seconds after starting the engine. If the light stays on or comes on when driving, there’s a fault with the ABS system. To allow steering under heavy braking, ABS prevents the wheels from locking. When ABS fails, conventional braking remains unaffected. Have system checked as soon as possible.

SsangYong Tivoli ESP warning light
The Electronic Control Program (ESP) is a safety system that helps to stabilise the vehicle. This could be for example when traveling round a sharp corner, the ESP applies the brakes on certain wheels, and/or controls the engine torque to aid stabilisation. this works automatically and helps to avoid a dangerous situation. When no instability is detected, ESP is not operational but is always on and ready to intervene. If ESP is operational, the warning light flashes. If the light comes on (non-flashing), the system has a fault.

The battery charge warning light comes on in red with ignition and should go out when the engine has started. If the light comes on when driving, it indicates a charging fault. The alternator is not charging the battery. Continued driving with the battery charge warning light illuminated will result in a sudden stop of vehicle engine. This may cause an accident. Immediately drive to a repair station.
SsangYong Tivoli engine oil pressure warning light
The engine oil pressure warning light illuminates due to a lubrication fault. If the light comes on, pull over and check oil level. Add oil if required. If no oil is required or the light remains on, there is a fault with the lubrication system. This can cause serious damage to the engine. In this situation, switch the engine off and discontinue driving.

SsangYong Tivoli power mode is for automatic vehicles and is used if you need more power during abrupt acceleration or driving up steep hills. Press once the mode switch (E → P → W) on the switch panel located to the left switch cluster turns on the power mode indicator. The power mode and winter mode indicators flash simultaneously indicating a system failure.
SsangYong Tivoli ISG indicator light (M/T)
The SsangYong Tivoli engine start / stop feature stops the engine temporarily when waiting in traffic. This improves fuel consumption and reduces exhaust emissions. ISG (Idle Stop and Go) system can be deactivated by pressing the ISG OFF switch.
SsangYong Tivoli winter mode indicator
SsangYong winter mode enables the vehicle to start from 2nd gear, ideal to use on slippery road surfaces. Do not use winter mode in normal driving conditions, only during icy conditions. Pressing the mode switch (E → P → W) on the switch panel located to the left switch cluster twice turns on the winter mode indicator.
SsangYong Tivoli fuel filter warning light (DSL)
On diesel versions of the SsangYong Tivoli only. during normal operation, the fuel filter warning light comes on when the ignition is switched to ON and goes out after a few seconds. Whilst driving, the warning light comes on along with an audible alarm indicating that water is inside the water separator fuel filter and has exceeded a certain level.
SsangYong Tivoli engine check warning light
The check engine warning light comes on with the ignition and goes out shortly after the engine has started. If the check engine warning light comes on when driving, certain engine control components such as sensors are defective. The vehicle will operate in safety mode at reduced speed to prevent the system from being damaged. In this mode, the engine may stall. Have vehicle check as soon as possible.
